The learners circle is a traditional Aboriginal method of oral communication, gives the students the opportunity to problem solve together around general life issues e.g. housing, budgeting, nutrition, relationships and goal setting. The students exchange and benefit from collective ideas and solutions.

Services Available:

Program for adult learners, 19 years of age and up. Curriculum from pre-high school
to college entrance levels, focusing on math, English and computer skills (electives include biology, chemistry and success strategies).

  • Students participate in assessment, goal setting and training plan development
  • Instruction is individualized, with teacher-led instruction in small classes
  • Learning resources are geared to adult learners

Value-added Supports:

  • Tuition covered by Government of Ontario (LBS Program)
  • Childcare and transportation subsidies available for eligible students
